A Challenging & well maintenance course in the Karuizawa area

Course Description

Karuizawa Kogen Golf Club is located in Kitakaruizawa, Naganohara-cho, Gunma Prefecture, and is owned by Taisei Corporation, a major general contractor construction company. It is about a 30-minute drive from the city center of Karuizawa town. It is a hilly course laid out on a plateau and you will feel cooler breeze than other golf courses around Karuizawa.

The starting hole is a long one, and although the fairway is spacious, the pond overhanging the left front from the second shot is a concern. The first shot should be to the right of the bunker.

The second shot should be played in front of the pond or to the right side of the pond. on the 2nd hole, a guard bunker in front of the green extends to the center of the fairway, blocking the route from the right side. The first shot should be to the left side of the pine trees and the second shot should also be slightly to the left to make the score. 417 yards long, the 7th hole, a par 4, has a 2m wide creek in front of the green, so you need to be careful. The first shot should be aimed to the right of the bunker, and the second shot should not be in the creek 40 yards in front of the green. The 10th hole's first shot is to the right side of the fairway and the second shot is slightly uphill to the green. 11th hole is a middle hole with no distance. Long hitters may be able to hit the green in one. The 15th hole is a downhill par 5 from the elevated tee ground with an elevation difference of 30 meters, so you need to hit a powerful downhill shot. The first shot should be to the left of the red pines, and long hitters may be able to hit the green in 2. The final 18th hole is a beautiful short hole with an island green. The out course starts from the long. The fairway is wide but a little difficult from the second shot. The in-course has some ups and downs, and you can enjoy a dynamic downhill long. The final 18th hole is a short hole with an island green surrounded by water. The floating island is larger than it looks, so you should hit the tee shot without worrying too much about the pond.

After playing, you can relax and relieve your fatigue in the natural hot spring bath.
