Beautiful and strategic championship course designed by Arnold Palmer
This Arnold Palmer-designed golf course is set on a beautiful site overlooking the outer rim of the Aso Mountains, which consists of 36 holes in total on the East Course and the West Course.
In 1995, the course hosted the Mitsubishi Gallant Tournament on the PGA Men's Tour, and from 2010-2012, the Route Inn Cup Aso Granviglio Ladies on the PGA Women's Tour.
The East Course has also hosted professional tournaments such as the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Tour's "Mitsubishi Gallant Tournament" in 1995, the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Tour's "Route Inn Cup Aso Granviglio Ladies" from 2010 to 2012, and the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Tour's "Legends Championship Route Inn Cup" in 2014. The East Course has many downhill and uphill holes that are highly strategic, and club selection is important. 2-way start (OUT and IN) is available. The West Course is long and strategically placed lakes add to the difficulty level. Accurate shots are required. Carts are allowed to drive on the fairways, which is popular among the elderly.
The clubhouse is equipped with facilities for players to relax. A hot spring bath and restaurant are also available, and golfers appreciate the opportunity to refresh themselves after golf.
