Much of Japan's land area is covered by mountain ranges. In Honshu, there are many mountain resorts such as Nasu, Karuizawa, Hakone, and others that are scenic and beloved by many Japanese citizens. Nasu and Karuizawa, in particular, offer many excellent golf courses, many of which are recommended during the hot summer months.
