OVERVIEW

It takes nearly 1 hour by a bullet train from Tokyo station to Nasu-Shiobara station, and there are a number of parkland and hilly golf courses built along rivers, lakes, dense forests, hills and mountains. Most of Japan's land area is lined with mountains. Many golfers head for mountain resorts to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city and the summer heat. In Honshu, Nasu and Nikko area  in Tochigi Prefecture are highly recommend as golf destination in Japan and you can enjoy hot springs and delicious local cuisines.

 

For example, Nishinasuno Golf Club was Japan’s first 18 holes golf course adopting bent grass for fairway and greens and many of its fairways are lined with beautiful red pine trees. Horai Country Club, a sister course of Nishinasuno Golf Club, is located in the same site. Both courses is worthy of being chosen as Nasu’s premier championship golf courses. Karasuyamajo Country Club designed by Inoue Seiichi known to be one of the best in the field of golf course architect in Japan, hosted LPGA tournament, Japan Ladies Open tournament 2016, won by Hataoka Nasa before turning to be a pro. New St. Andrews Japan with 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus is known as a tough and challenging course for even Jack himself. The other Nasu golf courses are worth the drive into the mountains to experience some of Tochigi’s most spectacular scenery.

 

The beautiful mountain ranges are mesmerizing and offer expansive views that can only be taken in properly, from a leisurely stroll in the forest. This destination’s relaxed nightlife and ism also beckons travelers in a wide range of ages.

The hotel is a resort hotel located in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture, and is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Nasu Highlands, with hot springs, swimming pools, and other facilities. It has one of the largest open-air hot spring baths in Nasu, with a large open-air bath surrounded by the greenery of trees and the murmuring of the river, as well as saunas, Jacuzzis, and cypress baths. There is a heated indoor swimming pool that can be played all year round, even on rainy days. There are activities for all ages to enjoy, such as pottery and other hands-on classes and nature tours.
