Course Description

JLPGA Fujifilm Studio Alice Ladies Open Host Course

The Hanayashiki Golf Club, Yokowa Course is located in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, 9 km from Kobe Sanda IC of the Chugoku Expressway. In 1959, this Course opened as the first course of the Hanayashiki Golf Club. Robert Murashima is appointed as the course designer, and the course was placed on the hilly area of Miki City. This Course is the venue of the LPGA Event, Studio Alice Ladies Open. In the past, the USLPGA official game “Mizuno Classic Japan” has been held five times, JGA-sponsored “Japan Women's Open Championship” has been held once, and the JPLPGA official game “Isuzu Ladies Tournament” has been held twice.

The out course of Hanayashiki Golf Club's Yokawa Course requires accurate shots due to the course location, which is generally separated by woods. Even if you hit off the green, most of the greens are elevated, requiring good approach skills.

Sharp downhill 1st hole 448yd (BT under the back tee) The middle hole. The hole starts with a 35-meter downhill from the tee. Moreover, there is a cliff on the right side from the middle of the hole.

Select a club for the tee shot in consideration of your own flying distance. From the second shot, you need to consider whether to aim over the ravine or to play it safe and aim for the sub green on the left side.

From the start, you will be starting a challenging hole.

Hole #3 158yd(BT) This is a short hole over a ravine. Moreover, the green is vertical and double-tiered. An accurate shot is required. The 5th hole is a long hole with a right dogleg of 545yd (BT).

The tee shot should be aimed at the left side. If the tee shot is to the right side, the next shot will be more difficult. The hole is 545 yards long, so if you do not hit well, even par is in doubt. The green is low on both sides like a manjuu, so you must be on your guard even if you hit the green. Hole #8,  414yd (BT) The middle hole is designed by Mr. Osamu Ueda with the pattern that the tee shot is downhill and the second shot is uphill. This hole is a typical example. There is a lake on both sides, so carry the tee shot to the corner of the dogleg. From the second shot, the uphill is designed so that it is difficult to match the distance. Calculate the uphill distance accurately before you hit the shot.

The back 9 starts from the long hole which looks wide.

The tee shot can be hit comfortably, so start relaxing. The second shot is downhill from the left foot, so think about whether you want to hit the third shot or aim for the green in 2. Either way, it is not an easy shot. From the third shot point, the hole is slightly uphill. The green is fast from the back, so play from the front.

The 11th hole, a 354-yard par 4, has a bunker at the landing area of the tee shot. Therefore, the theory is to carry the ball in front of the bunker and hit the next uphill shot. The club to use depends on the tee, so you should calculate the club to use.The 13th and 14th holes are two holes in a row where the tee shot is downhill and the second shot is uphill, and the greens are elevated. Let's attack from the front.

The 16th hole, a well-known 518-yd long hole on TV broadcasts, requires you to be careful of the water on the left and at the back of the green on the tee shot.

If you hit a good shot, you can hit the green in 2, but the pond on the left will put pressure on you. The second shot is uphill. Consider where to hit the third shot from when you hit the tee shot.

The 18th hole, 426 yards, the most difficult hole, is the middle hole with a large pond in front of the green. Select a club that does not reach the lake on the tee shot. From the second shot, it is an uphill shot of 180 to 200 yards. Even if you hit the tee shot well, it is still a long and difficult hole.

The gallery will be watching you from the clubhouse, so hit the best shot and return to the clubhouse.
