Ichinomiya Country Club is located in the hilly terrain of Ichinomiya Town, Chiba Prefecture, in a distance 19km from Mobara Town South IC on the Metropolitan Inter-City Expressway. Ichinomiya Town is the surfing venue for Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The course, opened in 1972, has 36 holes: East course(18h) and West course(18h), designed by Tokusaburo Sawai. The course yardage is 6,691 yards in East course and 6,636 yards in West course. These are traditional courses that can be enjoyed from beginners to professionals. In Boso Peninsula, you can golf comfortably all over the year, because it comes cool natural winds from the sea in summer, and it is warm in winter. The climate is also comfortable, so it is a less fear of thunder and snow. Generally, fairways are so wide and gently that it is easy to play. There are two large lakes in the course, but you should swing the club without hesitation. The green is composed of Bent grass and Korean lawn grass, and its condition is very good all over the year.
East course is required to use a cart. As it is a seaside course, the sea can be seen in some holes.
West course is required to play on foot. It has very beautiful landscape that trees surround, and moderate ups and downs.
Exquisitely placed bunkers, big trees and strong winds comes from the sea make your play difficult. At par-5 holes, you must analyse various conditions such as flight distance, winds and ball drop places to get a good score. The course condition is quite good, and the well kept green is highly rated by the players. You can also enjoy fresh seafood at the restaurant.
