Course Description

A strategic hilly course and there are placed the cross bunkers and the undulating greens.

The Jun Classic Country Club is located in hilly area of Nakagawa Town, Tochigi Prefecture. It takes 50 minutes from the JR Utsunomiya station by car and 21 km from Yaita IC of the Tohoku Expressway. The course, opened in 1976, looks like a Japanese resort, takes advantage of natural shape and bunkers and greens are placed strategically. This course was designed by Tadashi Sasaki and Tsutomu Miyazaki, and supervised by Gene Sarazen who devised the sand wedge. The course is strategic hilly course and there are placed the cross bunkers and the undulating greens. Each hole are made spacious but it is not easy because the distance is long and there are many traps. The approach shot is a key to get a good score. The greens has strong undulation.

The 15th hole has two greens and the par is changed according to the using green.

The 18th hole is not long but you should be careful with the big pond and the 2-tiered green.

The 9th par-5 hole is a dogleg to the right. The green is quite large with 80 yards length so you had better approach with considering where you drop the ball. The KIOSK in the course provides free drink.

The club has a thatch roof Japanese restaurant "Inakaya", a natural hot spring and a popular hotel. This course is a sister course of the Rope Club.
