Course Description

One of the most beautiful and challengeable golf course

The Mayflower Golf Club is located in Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is 13 km from Yaita IC of the Tohoku Expressway.

The course was opened in 1992 and designed by Eichi Hashimoto under the supervision of Sandy Lyle. There are many kind of flowers, and the course is beautiful and challengeable. Every player can enjoy golfing regardless of the skill. The front 9 course is overall flat and it has many small mound like a grassland of Scotland. It is a key to get a good score how well you shot from hollow.

The 5th par-4 hole is little uphill and long. At the teeing shot, the aim point is the right foot of the mountain. The course is quite narrow and difficult but the view of Nasu mountains is beautiful.

The 8th par-3 hole is relatively long with 204 yards. The green is large 2-tiered green and the sense of distance is important.

The design of the back 9 course is a fusion of Japanese and Scottish style. The last 3 holes are quite beautiful and you will never forget them. The 16th par-4 hole is short but be careful for the deep bunker in front of the green. The distance is important at the second shot.

At the 17th hole, the green is inclined to the left and there is a grass bunker on the right side of the green. So the accuracy shot is required.

The 18th par-4 hole is a little downhill. It is difficult if you drop the ball in the forest of the left side, but the aim point is the left side of the fairway because there is a pond on the right side.

There is a hotel attached to the course.
