Host Course for "HEIWA/PGM CHAMPIONSHIP in Kasumigaura
The gently sloping hills overlooking Kasumigaura and Mt. Tsukuba are richly shaded by trees, giving the course a woodland-like appearance. The fairways are wide, but the next hitting position is quite limited. Moreover, there are hazards and troubles near the good positions, so you will often find yourself in a situation where the success or failure of your shot will make the difference between life and death. If you take the safe route, bunkers and water will come into play on the approach to the green. The out-course, which is surrounded by a large lake, offers thrilling shots.
Miho Golf Club is owned and operated by PGM.
It is one of the few courses that have hosted major men's and women's tournaments, including the 1998 Japan Women's PGA Championship and the 2003 Japan PGA Championship. It is a beautiful course carved into the temperate land of Kasumigaura by master golfer Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The hazards and scenic traps, designed under the theme of risk and reward, become more challenging the more times you play the course and the more advanced you become, the more challenging the course will become.
