Musashigaoka Golf Course is located in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. It takes about 10 minutes from Sayama Hidaka IC by car and 5 minutes from Hanno Station(the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, JR Hacho Line) by car. This course, opened in 1983, is vast and strategic layout, is owned and maintenanced by Seibu Group.
The course design is in charged by Seibu Group, and this course is forest course located in Musashigaoka hill which has an ideal gentle undulation. This is famous course that Tiger Woods played for the first time in Japan. The LPGA event "Mitsubishi Electric Ponta Ladies" is held every year. The golf carts were introduced in 2009 and it became comfortably to play.
Overall the fairways are wide and everyone can enjoy golfing. The back 9 holes are more difficult than the front 9 holes that the back 9 holes is important to get a good score. The 10th hole is a long par-5 hole that it is 454 yards from the back tee. As it is narrow that the forests placed both sides of the fairway, accuracy and distance are required. The 16th hole is very long par-5 dogleg to the right that it is 600 yards from the back tee. Unless you put in the bunker that surrounds the green, you can aim to get a bardie if you are long hitter and you can aim to get a par if you are not. The 17th hole is par-4 with a large pond and you should aim the place where the second shot can reach the green accurately. The 18th hole is a straight par-5 but it is short that the distance is only 534 yards from the back tee. So accuracy is more important than distance. You should be careful for the ponds placed on the left and right sides of the green.
