Designed by Seiichi Inoue, Japan's leading golf course architect
Ohara Onjuku Golf Course is located in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture, 30 km from Ichihara Tsurumai IC in the area center. The first Japanese designer, Seiichi Inoue, designed the course based on the concept “It is easy for beginners but difficult for advanced users”. A hilly course with 18 holes with many mounds and 110 bunkers. The fairway is wide, but with a bunker in place, it has a layout that won't lead to a good score unless the target area of the tee shot is narrowed accurately. This is an exciting course for advanced users, as the level of difficulty in the next hit changes greatly at the drop point of the tee shot. 4th. HOLE's PAR 3 is not bothered much by the pond on the left, but the guard bunker around the green works wonderfully. 11th Hole's PAR 4 is considered a specialty hall, and features the largest battery green. Because there is a relatively long distance, it is best to move from the front carefully and aim at one. 12th, HOLE is a beautiful par 3 across the pond. I would like to focus on distance and make club selection carefully. Another famous hall is the 17th HOLE. The fairway is dotted with 14 bunkers, as if a butterfly is dancing, giving pressure to the player. 18th. HOLE PAR 4 has a wide fairway, but the right side is a depression so I want to keep it.
