Phoenix Country Club is one of the most prestigious golf courses in Japan, ranked in the top 100 in the world and the top 3 in Japan, and has been the site of the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament since 1974. The course consists of 27 holes beautifully laid out along a vast forest of black pines facing the Sea of Hyuga, with the sea breezes characteristic of seaside courses and the pine trees that serve as aerial hazards.
It is one of the most prestigious golf courses in Japan, ranked in the top 100 in the world and the top 3 in Japan, and has been the site of the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament since 1974. The strategic and natural setting of the club has a history as the stage for the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament, the most prestigious tournament in Japan, as well as for the world's top professional golf tournaments. The course is generally flat with wide fairways and gently undulating terrain. The guard bunkers and tall pine trees provide stymies, so the course demands skill.

History of the tournament

1985: Tsuneyuki Nakajima becomes the first Japanese champion.

1994-1996: Masashi Ozaki wins his third consecutive title.

2002: Kaname Yokoo wins the tournament, beating Tiger Woods.

2005: Kaname Yokoo battles Tiger Woods in a playoff.

The clubhouse is 5,200 square meters in size and was designed by Nissan Construction Co. There is also a restaurant and a store inside the house, where you can enjoy activities other than golf.

Phoenix Country Club is part of the Phoenix Seagaia Resort, which also offers a full range of lodging facilities. The resort has a hotel, spa, and hot springs, and lodging is available as part of your golf plan.
