Boasting magnificent views of Mt. Yotei and Mt. Shiribetsu
The River course is located in the site of 20min Shuttle bus distance from Westin Rusutsu (Golf front) and connected with Wood course. The course boasts a superb layout that offers outstanding views of Mt. Yotei and Mt. Shiribetsu while bringing out the best in your golf game.
The challenging fairway undulations will test your mettle in different conditions and sharpen your approach under pressure. You’ll be signing up for a series of demanding holes defined by water hazards and out-of-bounds situated on both sides of the course.
The course was designed and supervised for the first time in Japan by Curtis Strange, the famous US Tour Money Champion, and is technical, varied, and beautiful. The River Course is relatively short, with the par 5 1st hole being reachable in 2, but the undulations of the fairways are tight and require good technique depending on the conditions. However, the course has a series of holes with OBs on both sides of the fairways and holes over lakes and streams, so you need to play mentally to avoid being overwhelmed by the pressure. The Wood Course is long, wide and scenic. 5th is a straight par 5, but the green is triple-tiered, so there is a big risk of 3 putts depending on the pin position. 12th is the only hole over a stream on the Wood Course, so it is important to be bold.
