A strategic course utilized natural shape and ponds
The Seven Hundred Club is located in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture. It takes 25 minutes from Kami kawachi SA of the Tohoku Expressway by car.
The course has a history over 50 years since 1979. It is hilly course placed on the suburb of Sakura City and there are spread the countryside view. The course designer is Ikkai Izumi who designed famous courses such as the Sodegaura Country Club Sodegaura course and Hanno Golf Club. The course is taken advantage of the natural shape and ponds are placed strategic.
The 7th par-5 hole is impressive downhill. There is a pond at the second shot point, and it is said the most difficult course. The 14th par-5 hole is the dogleg to the left, and it is also difficult that there is a pond at the third shot point. Both are quite beautiful and placed ponds strategically. The 17th par-3 hole has also the pond. The key to get a good score is how well to get over the hole which has the pond. The evaluation of course maintenance and service is great and the course is chosen the best 100 courses in 2010 by Weekly Diamond.
