Course Description
Hosted the Japan Open, the PGA Championship and many tournaments.
Taiheiyo Club Gotemba WEST is located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It takes 20 minutes from Gotemba IC of Tomei Expressway by car. This course, opened in 1998, is hilly course designed by Shunsuke Kato. The event "Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Club Ladies" was held in 1998 and 2000. The fairway is composed of the Bent grass, and this course is separated by pine and ceder trees. It must be careful because this course takes advantage of the nature of the foot of Mt.Fuji and has many ponds and streams. But every player from beginner to professional can enjoy golfing in this course. The secret to get a good score is how to play at the green.
