Course Description

A quaint layout with the huge hilly area

Takamuroike Golf Club is located in Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture. It is about 10 minutes by car from the Takigawa Station on the JR Kakogawa Line. The course opened in 1994, and it is constructed with the concept of "Pure and Genuine". The course designer is Taizo Kawata, and the course is a quaint layout with the huge hilly area. Each hole is very characteristic and there are few similar courses. So there are many holes that leave a impression on players. Overall the fairway is flat, but there is subtle undulation and it affects to the approach shot. Whether you get a good score or not depends on how you can shot in consideration of undulation. There are 5 holes that have beautiful lakes, and these have both of beauty and strategic nature. The courses are separated by many trees, mainly pine trees, and these have a calm atmosphere. The green is not easy because it has subtle undulation.

The 4th hole is a characteristic layout par-3. It is wide but many pitfalls are hidden. You had better to select the bigger club because the wind blows strong. The green is low to the left side, and there is a half circle deep bunker on the left side of the green. So you should putt carefully or it will become 3 putts from the birdie chance.

The 7th hole is par-4. The length is not long but the accuracy is required at the teeing shot and the second shot. As the fairway is lower toward the left, if the teeing shot goes too left, the second shot will become quite uphill. The approach shot is very difficult because there are 3 bunkers in right front of the green and the front half of the green slopes downward to the back.

The 11th hole is strategic par-5 hole for senior player. To get on the green in two shots is difficult because the length of the course is long and there are many pitfalls. As the fairway has subtle undulation and the green is surrounded by trees, it is more safe to approach to the green from the right front of the green. The 16th hole is relatively long par-4. As there is the forest at the back of the green and the green is low to the left front, if you shot too hard, you will fall into the designer's trap. As the green is wide, it is important to aim according to the pin position.

The club house is a natural design with the smooth curve. All interiors are coordinated by top Italian designers. The restaurant has impressive streamlined windows and you can enjoy first-class taste.
