Course Description

Hosted the Japan Open, the PGA Championship and many tournaments.

Tomei Country Club is located in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 20 minutes from Mishima Station where the Shinkansen stops, and 15 minutes from the Susono IC of the Tomei  Expressway. It takes about 90 minutes from Tokyo by the Shinkansen or by the car using Expressway. You can enjoy a beautiful view of Mt.Fuji very easily in this course.

This course makes use of the magnificent foot of Mt.Fuji, and it has very strategic 27 holes such as uphill, downhill, valleys and ponds.

The Ashitaka course, the Susono course and the Momozono course are all vast, and you can enjoy golfing with the natural beautiful scenery of Mt.Fuji which changes seasonally.

These hilly courses are recommended by players who know the best part of golf. The owner is Golf Digest -Sha Company the major golf publisher. There were only 18 holes when this course opened in 1968, but 9 holes were added in 1978 and it became 27 holes. The management and operation of the course has a good reputation, and in the fall every year from 1971 to 1997, Golf Digest tournaments for men's professional competitions were held (combined with crowns of Polaroid Cup, Asahi Beer, etc.). During the competition, the official contest "Japan Driving Contest" was a high-profile event. The course is always maintenance elaborately. As the tournaments had been held for a long time, the green is especially high quality. Bent green drains well and balls roll quickly. This course has many uphills and downhills, but the slope is gentle. At the Ashitaka course, you will move toward Mt.Fuji from 1st hole to 5th hole, and move downhill in the opposite direction of Mt.Fuji from 6th hole. At the Susono course, you will move toward Mt.Fuji from 1st hole to 3rd hole, and the 6th hole is downhill with the valley, and the 8th hole is also par-5 downhill with beautiful pond. At the Momozono course, the 1st hole is a par-3 hole with valley, and the 18th hole is a par-5 hole.

The clubhouse is clean and comfortable. As it has the driving range, you can warm-up before start golfing. The restaurant provide fresh seafood from Numazu Port and local vegetables in seasons.
